Let’s take a quick geek break to acknowledge something cool. If it slipped under your radar as well, NASA just discovered Kepler-22b, a new planet 600 light years away with living conditions similar to our dear Mother Earth. It orbits a star much like our sun, at a similar distance, which allows it to clock in at a lovely 72 degrees Fahrenheit. It even has 290 days a year. There’s a good chance that liquid water exists, which means there’s an even greater chance that lifeforms are present. The kinds of beings trolling this planet are still a mystery, but the actual finding is pretty damn fun.

(Shout out to all the science nerds. This one’s for you.)
