It’s sunny here in NYC, and I’m feelin’ good. I hope you are too. Here are a couple of videos that I watched earlier this week. Both made me smile..

Syesha Mercado

This shaky footage in this clip sucks, but Syesha Mercado’s voice is amazing (her hair is pretty fly too)! A former Idol contestant (I’m not surprised), and now a Broadway star. Watch as she covers Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” (one of my favorite singing-in-the-shower songs), and learn more about this ultra-talented and magnetic performer…

Georgia Ann Muldrow

If you don’t already know, Georgia Ann Muldrow is the shit. She’s been making music with some of the best for a long time, and continues to stay true to her funky-soul stylistics. Her latest album, “Owed to Mama Rickie,” pays tribute to her mother, singer/songwriter Rickie Byars Beckwith who is also the musical director at the Agape International Spiritual Center in California (an excellent church if you’re down with spirituality/Science of Mind teachings). Here’s some details on the new album, here’s a review I wrote on her 2010 release, and here’s her lovely music video:
