If you haven’t heard, Amoeba Music is like the motherland for music lovers. It’s a veritable sound garden packed with rows and rows of nearly every artist and genre you could imagine. Thanks to my brother Khalid, I spent some time watching Amoeba’s online series, “What’s In My Bag?” where musicians and filmmakers shop the aisles and give play-by-play descriptions of each purchase. There’s even a handy shopping list/music guide below each video to make it easy for viewers and fans to buy the albums as well. You could spend hours combing through each episode, but here are just a few of my favorites. A range of talented musicians discussing some interesting choices…
